Wood

Is to me one of the most manifold re-grewing natural material, whose variety and utilisation seems to be nearly unlimited.

My artistic approach is mostly intuitive: for about 90% of my work I do not use drawings or models - I create out of myself, my head, heart and hands in clarity and certitude.

Creating for clients thus needs models and drawings in order to align both imaginations.

For wood being an organic source, I like to combine it with other natural materials, all in front precious and semi-precious stones, but also feathers, shells and similars. Also do I own joy and skills with ornamentic, celtic knotworks, calligraphy and leather works.

On my travels in various countries I was able to work together with carpenters, musicians, painters and other artists and therefore did gather various experiences.

It is my artistic urge to express my feeling for Beauty: this is to me also represented in vividness, therefore i like to use rotation and movement in my artwork.

In my opinion Art expresses in each culture its current condition and zest – the prevailing esthetic clarifies the perspective we have on reality.

In a time of hectic, confusion and fear we are endangered to blunt. Especially then it seems to me to be important to fill spirit and soul with beauty, to be surrounded by creations that give us joy, that radiate bliss and grace, to keep balance & sustain our sensity which is part of our intelligence.
